Imagine walking beneath a canopy of trees while watching the sumbeams break through as the sun rises, giving you a wonderful show of colors and light. That's what I did Sunday morning at Five Rivers Metro Park - Germantown. I set an alarm to get up early, had my backpack and camera equipment packed and ready to go, and was there when the park opened (not a usual thing for me to do on a Sunday morning!). It was 68 degrees and humid when I got there, but the shade kept me comfortable. I hiked about 4 1/2 - 5 miles for the better part of 3 hours, stopping to take photos along the way and really enjoyed myself.
